Yay, a Pullip! She looks sweet and mysterious at the same time.

Not to worry; Carnage will fix it when he makes everyone drive electric cars LOL
The Bay of Fundy is certainly supposed to be warming a lot faster than the rest of the eastern Atlantic. Would be interesting to do the same kind of temperature readings we did 30 years ago (yikes!!!!) on the harbour porpoise project and see how they compared. Not following fishery news much anymore but from what I hear there is a movement of lobsters north, as it gets warmer to the south. And apparently there's a lot less sea ice in the Arctic. Can't contribute personal observations to any of that.

I thought I read that he postponed implementation of the electric vehicle mandate.

(I see that he uses US President Trump's economic policies as an excuse, rather than admitting the Canadian EV policies were completely absurd and unrealistic and that the technology and infrastructure simply aren't there yet.)

Snowy Pathway

Pullip doll Lala meanders along a snowy pathway, hoping to get home before the wind gets any chillier, a blizzard blows in, or a Big Bad Wolf shows up.

No pic-a-nic basket and she's not wearing red, so wolves shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks. Lala was my first Pullip doll. She's wearing a jacket from Pullip Dilettante. I thought the jacket looked nice with Lala's blue scarf.

Barbarian Battle Babe
.

Revoltech Fräulein Series No. 004 Pocco action figure.

This fragile figure is several years old. I believe I acquired it in 2011, so fifteen years ago. One plastic joint has been broken almost since new. Another plastic joint broke today while I was taking the figure out of the box. I'm sorely tempted to toss the silly thing in to the trash right now.

But... she's so cuuuute!

Maybe I'll rustle up some tweezers and glue and fuss with it a bit before throwing it in the trash.

Gasp -– what a surprise. And EVs in our climate sounded like such a great idea LOL
Guess I missed that… I don’t follow MSM news that much anymore either.

If Lala’s going to walk far in the winter wonderland, she might want some boots. Maybe a nice warm furry wolf will show up and give her a ride!

9 January - A Doll A Day 2026:

I've been eksperimenting with 1/6-scale action figure head-body combinations, trying to make the most of what I have on hand. There are several manufacturers of bodies and numerous producers of heads in the 1/6-scale action figure hobby, and matching heads to bodies in terms of color and size is a problematic process of trial and error.

I've also been eggsperimenting with how to photograph these head-body combinations in a uniform way to accurately illustrate the color and size match. The process itself is a work-in-progress as I figure out how to get the figures to stand up and how to arrange lighting to accurately convey the appearance of the figures. Getting a camera in there presents a challenge of its own. Ultimately I hope to set up a worktop space with the camera and lights on tripods so the images will have better uniformity.

The figures are minimally dressed because the objective is to illustrate the size and color match between the heads and bodies. Clothing, costumes, or backgrounds can significantly impact the visual effect. I should standardize the costume across all the bodies I use.

.

(Yeah, I see it now, the head is set just a little too high. It'll push down some. I should probably re-do this pic.)
.
(I intended to use a different body for this character, but I ended up with an extra pale Jiaou 10E. I think it'll work with this head sculpt. Or not. I don't know. I don't really like it.)
.
(I finally found, by accident, a body sufficiently pale and of a size that works with this very pale and somewhat large -- as in, long from top to bottom -- head sculpt.)
.
(I find the trim S16 body works well for athletic "adventure-style" characters.)
.
(For a long time I had trouble finding a body that would size well with this head. Now I've discovered three: Jiaou 10E is adequate, but TBLeague S16 and VeryCool VCD-01 fit very nicely.)
.

.
(The VeryCool VCD-01 body is a superb body sculpt. Now I want to purchase a "natural" and a "suntan" color version just to see them in-hand and to see if they match up to any of my existing heads. The idea going in was to use what I have and NOT buy anything more, yet the process has me wanting more! More! MORE!)

Maudlynne Macabre

.

Maudsie has her eyeglasses back!

She can see again!

Which means she can go back to work

Booo! Hisss!

At the studio.

Double booo! Triple hisss!

Which means we might get more photo-stories again!

YAY!

Did I mention, Maudlynne has her eyeglasses back!

And only ten days in to the New Year.

After... ermmmm... I lost track of the number of years that "Repair or Replace Maudlynne's Eyeglasses" has been on my annual Dolly Goals List.

I can finally cross that item off the list!

16" is an interesting size; what scale does that count as, 1/4?
She has a pretty face.

Yes, I believe this size from Tonner were considered 1/4-scale fashion dolls.
