Shyn'E, one of the Flairies from the Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale (2010) animated movie
She deserved a better photographic treatment than she received yesterday. Today I brushed her hair.

Her hair looks very nice there!
“Some people” find combing doll hair relaxing. Or so I’ve been told

From dailyitalianwords.com. I completely disagree, of course.
"Imagine a workplace scenario where there’s a looming deadline, and everyone is scrambling to finish a critical project. However, one employee – let’s call him Marco – is sitting at his desk, meticulously organising paperclips by colour. In Italian, you could metaphorically describe Marco’s engagement in a pointless and trivial activity as pettinare le bambole, which literally translates to to brush the dolls’ hair."

That's so funny... and so true! Brushing a doll's hair seems pointless to me, as the hair never stays brushed!
Thank you for the idiomatic language lesson!

Perhaps her name should be Shiv'R today!

You got your snow! Yay, I guess.
They picked a mouthful to rename KitKats!
Marco & his paperclips immediately made me think of James May arranging wrenches. IYKYK

Edit Reason: looked at Flickr
)
Neat pic!
Not a usual sort of environment for your crew, I guess? What counts as a blizzard? How much snow did you get? Nevermind, I saw the photos. Must get pretty windy up on the rise where you are.

It wasn't a true blizzard. Just blustery gusty wind and snow -- about 10 inches / 25 centimeters.
Possibly a little bit more tonight, then a couple of really cold clear nights before things warm up early next week, or so sez the forecast.

Integrity Toys "Dracula and his Brides: Eternal Collection - Lucy" fashion doll
.
Aftermarket costume. I do not have the original clothing, accessories, or box. I acquired this figure from somebody who acquired it second hand. Actually, like back in the "golden age" of doll forum fandom online, last year I purchased some items from a member of one of the action figure forums. In addition to what I'd purchased (a boat, of all things, and some "nautical" clothing accessories), he generously included several pieces of 1/6-scale furniture that he thought might work in my tiki bar or surf shop diorama projects; and wrapped in tissue under the furniture was this rare Integrity Toys Nu Face doll.
I didn't know what to say. It was a nude doll, no box or accessories, and the years have resulted in some fading, but these things retail for $1200 and up for mint-in-box. It has to be worth at least a couple of hundred. He told me he got it in a "mixed lot" purchase years ago and has never used it. He knows I am gradually attempting to assemble a cast of action figure characters similar to those of our late online pal Miskatonic Nick, so he kindly donated this figure to the project.
I really want to find a better costume -- something more "vampire-esque."
(UPDATE: just purchased something via eBay that might work.)

Yup, that's a pretty big dump of snow. I imagine it will melt quicker than ours. My snowplow pile's still gonna be there in APRIL.
You bought a 1/6 boat?? Have we seen that....? Sounds like a very nice gift from your forum acquaintance.

The "boat" is a hard plastic toy version of an inflatable raft, so it's not particularly impressive.

One icicle has grown so large it reaches from the eaves to the porch floor! It's an ice pillar now!

Scantily-clad snow cow girl took a plunge off the porch railing. Kinda like a Polar Bear Swim, I guess, but with a harder impact.

Ooops. Hope she was undamaged.
I have 2 or 3 minis who say, "Meh, we did it without snow."
