I wasn't gonna post the entire story as a daily photo post, but meh, why not?

This is an installment -- including a clarification of the instructions and rules -- for an interactive all-comers photostory game posted to some of the action figure forums.

You may find the game(s) at the following 1/6-scale action figure sites:

Missing Pullip Amelia accessories -- FOUND!

.

I don't know how they got to where they got to, but I ran across the missing Pullip Amelia handbag and goggles while looking for something completely unrelated.

You like one shave ice?

I don't usually post "throwback" images as part of my A Doll A Day projects, but eh, whatevahs!

Dis was 2011, Hale'iwa Town, North Shore, Oahu. T'ings was good den. Photo is a photo of a photo; dat is, one digital phone photo snapped jus' now of one old school print picture.

I was "hosting" a traveling Pinky Street doll who was being sent to a variety of states and countries. International postage was affordable back then. And there weren't no steenkin' tariffs.

I need four million dollars  today to buy a house on da beach were I used to live.

Bummah.

Ellie Fields of the Royal Kadath Society

.

I've been trying to keep my A Doll A Day posts more on the "doll side" of the spectrum rather than "action figure," but today we get an action figure, a 1/6-scale (Barbie doll size) TBLeague S16 body with a no-name knock-off "Sucker Punch Baby Doll" character head. The figure is meant to emulate one of Flickr member MiskatonicNick's characters, Ellie Fields, a researcher and adventurer associated with the Royal Kadath Society.

I purchased a few of those miniature curved machetes but I cannot for the life of me find the rest of them. Ellie is missing a Flashlight as well. Either Cloë or Captain Gwendolyn must have it. I thought I'd purchased more flashlights, too. I'm so tired of not being able to find things I'm looking for.

Oh, hey, all those pix for the photo story installment? I snapped those with my DSLR camera. Going back to the mobile phone for Ellie, here, was kind of a let-down. Altho' most of the let-down has to do with messy hair. I really need to keep a toothbrush in my photography kit for brushing doll hair.

Yay for using the DSLR! I can’t see it all on my phone and with my lousy internet all those pictures take forever to load. I will have to come back and look at the photo story on my laptop.
Looks nice and warm and sunny in today’s photo.

The travelling Pinky would be fun!  Ooh, that was a sad realization, that the days of exchange dolls might be over. Overseas postage costs far too much and we can’t send packages to the states without federal-government-budget-level paperwork. Irritated

I can’t say shave ice ever floated my boat. Would that be a Fail if I lived in Hawai’i? You are “supposed” to like dulse if you live here – I don’t like that either.
I do loooooove haupia, so there’s that.  LOL  I would like to have a café and only serve haupia— in a fazillion new variations LOLLOL I forget how many I’m up to now – 8?

4 million bucks for a house… Sounds like trying to get into BC too. Bummah indeed.

Wow, the text on that flower power background really is almost impossible to read!

The 90s are retro now? Bummah, again. sad
These interactive things with so much participation must be a lot of fun. I wish we still had the monthly challenges here – and the people to do them – and I remember how much fun the scavenger hunt was. Nothing lasts forever… sigh. slash

Join the One Sixth Figures forum.
https://onesixthfigures.forumotion.com/

Or... ermigahd... the Men With Dolls forum.
https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/menwithdolls/

There's at least some response to interactive story games on both of those forums.

It might amuse, and even please, you to learn that one of the guys on the Men With Dolls forum has become a fan of Rainbow High dolls. He purchased a pre-owned Rainbow High last year to scavenge for costume pieces, but he couldn't bring himself to rob her for parts. Now he has several, at least four or five, including your Monarch Butterfly figure. He posted just today about his latest find, a pre-owned mint-in-box example. He even posts about washing the excessive gel out of their hair and other "dolly" type issues.

There was a guy on the MWD site who was a Monster High fan as well, but I haven't seen him in quite a while now.

As for "retro," I conducted some cursory online research. "Retro" is often described as "20 to 40 years ago," which makes the 2000s "retro." Other definitions are more vague in terms of specific years, but define "retro" as being new but looking old or borrowing design elements from previous decades. Actual "old stuff" is either "vintage" or "antique."

And speaking of interactive story games:
