Definitely a magical setting for a special girl! Are those wings just for her?
Cool! smile
Radiant light on her face and the edges of her wings!

Is she soaking in a hot tub to warm up after the chilly photo shoot?
That second shot makes me laugh so much. xD Love behind the scenes photos.

This is a really neat photo! I'm not sure how well those little wings will lift her off the ground, though. wink

The scene she is sitting amidst is just gorgeous, stretches my imagination not at all to think "faery" grotto <3
Thank you smile I love my mossy little back woodlot; it's wonderful for photos. Annie came last week; she has an intro in the BJD section. And I sympathize with you on the memory holes blush

Nope, they are from the batch that I got last year. "Mei4Life" makes gorgeous wings.

Haha, no hot tub, though I would like to have got in one. Unfortunately I had to go right out again. The tub was just the easiest way to carry wig, prop-up sticks, plastic wrap for her to sit on, "robe" (scarf) etc. Sigh... my dolly-tote needs are getting bigger!
That light was good for one shot, and it was gone. I sat for about 10 minutes waiting for it to reach that spot.

Of course they will. Fairies, magic...????? Tongue
Glad you liked it.
Week 4 smile
Yeessss, still with the Christmas stuff. I DID actually put most of it away today, finally. I might leave this one for a while longer.
This decoration was made by my parents forever ago, copied from a Christmas card a neighbour sent them. They had a lot of scrap fabric, apparently! (The blanket was from an old worn-out coat of Mom's.) They were going to throw it out when they moved. I was appalled and rescued it, and gave them heck. There is no fireplace here to put it in, so it goes in the hall.

What an adorable fireplace screen!

I know what you mean about parents throwing away things that were part of our childhoods! I'm glad you rescued this piece, it's really fun, and I'm sure it holds countless Christmas memories for you!
That is so cute!!! What a work of art! I love it! <3

And your girls look adorable sitting there in front of it. <3
So cute! Love the sleepy mouse
I can see why you kept this lovely piece of family history smile The girls blend in as if they were created there in the image.
That is so cute and a big plus for it's sentimental value!
What a nice photo - especially the back story smile
I love this photo. They are so sweet to begin with but learning the story behind made it even cuter smile
Wonderful pictures!! Always enjoy looking at your photos.
Love the photo for week 4 and the story about the background.
Definitely makes it extra special. Heart 2
Thank you everybody! grin Yep, lots of Christmases. That photo is in the background of some of Mom's pix from when I was 5 or so. I thought we still had the card around somewhere... I thought I remembered seeing it once, but I don't know if it came in the move.

I HATE shooting in the cold. Fingers & toes frozen, can't manipulate things with gloves, nose running, hard light to work with in sun on snow... just ugh. I've been out twice today taking pictures in the cold, and cursing the climate... again right
Here's Daesani in some of the gang's "Paris fashions". I never thought to ask the seller if that was real fur on the hood... I think it is and that makes me feel bad, and like an idiot for not thinking to ask. Anyway, lesson learned I guess -- ask next time slash
